'Alice' meets Antony in Cornwall
2010 will be a year like no other for the National Trust property; Antony.
Director Tim Burton chose Antony, near Plymouth, to be a key location for the new Disney adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, which is out in cinemas on 5 March 2010*. Since filming took place at Antony in 2008, we've been inspired to create our own magical wonderland.
The house, garden and estate will all be transformed so you can enjoy our tea parties, walk through scenes from the dream-like stories of Alice, and even meet our own Mad Hatters.
Here is what is going on up to Easter:
Free entry for all Alices and Alastairs
Saturday 6 March
Antony garden, full of glorious walks, flowers and views, and the Alice experience are now open.
Anyone called Alice or Alastair, as well as anybody dressed as a character from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland or Through the Looking-Glass, will be given free entry on this day.
Gardens open from 11am - 5pm.
Mad Hatter’s Tea Parties
