No autumn blues at the Harrogate Flower Show!
Having worked hard on your gardens throughout the summer months why not take some time out to enjoy a day at the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show.
The show is held at the Great Yorkshire Showground in the beautiful historic spa town of Harrogate, in North Yorkshire. With its wonderful gardens, graceful architecture, café culture, fabulous shopping and fine cuisine, a visit is a must.
An independent show, the Harrogate Autumn Show has the enviable reputation of being ‘the friendly show’ with both visitors and exhibitors returning year after year. If you’re a fairweather gardener or hardy enthusiast we can guarantee a real gardening experience and you will come away filled with new ideas and loads of enthusiasm.
To give a flavour of the Show and to mention a few highlights, you’ll be treated to a veritable feast of fruit and vegetables including the ‘heaviest onion competition’ – prepare to be amazed! Huge flower halls will house over 90 horticultural nurseries with magnificent exhibits, Specialist Societies will display perfect specimens in the Specialist Societies Marquee and the skill and imagination of the flower arrangers can’t fail to inspire. Acres of stylish garden sundries, essential garden tools and lots lots more to catch your attention. So, picture the scene, huge flower halls, vibrant colours, wonderful scents, amazing floral displays and vegetables so perfect you’d be loathed to cut them up!
Away from the gardening theme, you can get in some early Christmas shopping or just buy a little treat for yourself in the Crafts and Gifts Marquee where a lovely selection of unique and unusual gifts can be found. Or perhaps you would prefer something to tickle your tastebuds and there’s certainly plenty to chose from at ‘Deliciously Yorkshire’, a showcase of local food producers with all sorts of tasty bites to take home.
