The 2009 Bristol International Balloon Fiesta takes place on Thursday 6th to Sunday 9h August and entry is FREE*!

With mass launches of over 100 balloons 6am and 6pm daily, over 250 trade stands, arena and aerial entertainments, you certainly will not be bored and with 45 food concessions from around the world you will not go hungry!

Be sure to catch one of the two night glows where around 30 balloons light up the night sky in time to music with a fireworks finale. The aerial stunt display provided by the RAF Red Arrows is a spectacle not to be missed. Helicopter displays, parachuting and animal shows are some of the countless experiences on site that will entertain the whole family!

Amenities available on site include Mother & Baby tent with changing and feeding facilities, an excellent lost children area staffed by experienced staff, disabled toilets and buggy facility.

Parking on the site is £7 per visit if purchased in advance via our website or £8 on the day. There will also be designated bus services with a separate drop off/pick up point for buses or coaches (ample coach parking on Cumberland Road), disabled parking and scooter hire.

Ashton court is easily reached from the M5 with direct access from the A369 Portishead road.

From Junction 19 take the A369 towards Bristol city centre. Public and VIP (with privilege car passes only) entrances are on the right.. Exhibitors and balloonists take the B3128 and continue as above. From the M32 follow signs to city centre and then Weston-Super-Mare or Portishead.

A dedicated regular Fiesta bus service and park and ride facility will be provided. These services will drop passengers off at Gate 3 - Kennel Lodge Entrance of Ashton Court Estate where there is designated pedestrian access into the Fiesta grounds.
